Also known as the Anti-“Kamote Driver” Law or “Defensive Driving Act of 2024” is a bill that proposes if a driver can immediately present credible evidence of defensive driving, they should not be detained simply because an accident occurred. It is to protect drivers who can show proof they acted responsibly (e.g., dash-cam footage, CCTV, photographic evidence).
A proposed bill entitled Domestic Violence Act of 2022, seeks to amend the existing Republic Act No. 9262 (the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act) to include men, same-sex partners, and other genders / relationships.
