EDUCATION

As a lawyer herself, she was able to connect with the people through his “Paano Ba Attorney?” segment in Facebook and YouTube videos. Atty. Migs aims to educate ordinary people about legal problems and advices. Furthermore, Congw. Atty Migs Nograles filed for the conversion of Sulu State College into a university to give better opportunity to the people of Sulu and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to bring prosperity and abundant opportunities for our Muslim brothers and sisters

FILIPINO ATHLETES

In support of the Filipino Athletes, Congw. Atty. Migs Nograles filed House Bill 03597. She mentioned in this measure the need to create an inclusive body that will recognize a strong nation that focuses and recognizes our Filipino Athletes and Cultural Artists by creating the Department of Sports, Culture and Arts having the Philippine Sports Commission, Games and Amusement Board and the National Commission on Culture and Arts as attached on the said agency. This was echoed during her recent trip to Cambodia as Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Youth and Sports Development to reinvigorate the necessary support that our national athletes need for better performance in local and international sporting competitions.

In addition, House Bill 4088 or “An Act Granting Additional Health Care, Retirement, Death Benefits, and other Privileges to Filipino Olympians, National Athletes, Coaches, and Trainers Amending Republic Act No. 10699 otherwise known as An Act Expanding the Coverage of Incentives Granted to National Athletes and Coaches, Appropriating Funds Therefor” aims to give additional support to those Olympians and Athletes who have given honor to our country and accord significant retirement privileges, incentive and benefits not only to those who won medals but also to those who participated and help put our Filipino Olympians on the podium.

HUMAN RIGHTS

To address human rights, Congw. Atty. Migs Nograles filed House Bill 0674 or “An Act Providing a Framework to Protect and Promote the Right to Adequate Food”; This measure aims to address sufficiency of food as a right to every Filipino people

HEALTH

As part of her health advocacy, Congw. Atty. Migs Nograles filed House Bill No. 6174. This bill aims to decentralize our specialty health centers to provinces specially in Mindanao

JUSTICE

Congw. Atty. Migs Nograles, has always defended equal protection of the people, hence, she filed House Bill 1365 by expanding the coverage of Republic Act 9262 otherwise known as “An Act Defining Violence against Women and Children, Providing for their Protective Measures for Victims, Prescribing Penalties Therefor, and For Other Purposes. This bill shall be known as the “Domestic Violence of 2022” which aims to equalize the playing field in abuses and include but not limited to Lesbian, Gays, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Plus”

WOMEN

Congw. Atty. Migs Nograles is currently forming and organizing various womens group to help them with trainings as well as awareness regarding womens issues and mental health as she is an active member of ZONTA International Womens Group

She is currently forming youth groups and future leaders with training for leadership and supporting their various sports advocacies stating with upcoming LIGA sa mga bararangay

MENTAL HEALTH AND BULLYING

Furthermore, Congw. Atty. Migs penned another measure to defend the victims of bullying not just in the four corners of the classrooms but to include but not limited to workplace and even in cyber environment

As a lawyer, Atty. Migs has provided legal assistance to those who cannot afford it, and she has used her expertise to help empower and uplift those who are often overlooked and underserved by the legal system. Her PBA Partylist office offers consultations without charge for those in need of legal guidance.
